How You Can Help

Medical Relief for India invites you to join hands with us in providing medical relief to the underserved in India through Dr. K. S. Charak’s free medical camps and future SOS Hospital & Research Institute. There are several ways you may choose to support such causes: financial donations, as a volunteer or donation of medical supplies.

Financial Donations

Medical Relief for India graciously accepts monetary donations of any amount. You may make a donation by using the PayPal buttons to the right.

Please know that a $1,000 donation covers all necessary medicines during a single free medical camp; $2,500 pays for a full-day’s camp expenses and a $10,000 donation covers the expenses of a week-long camp which typically serves over 2,000 outpatients and includes the performance of over 100 surgical operations.

Many corporations have a Matching Gift Program that reward employees’ charitable donations. After an employee makes a donation to an eligible nonprofit such as Samjivani Foundation, they fill out a matching gift submission request and submit it to their company’s HR department. If the donation and nonprofit meet the company’s guidelines, the company disburses a check to the nonprofit for the same amount as the employee’s donation. If your company has a Matching Gift Program, you may be able to increase the value of your gift. Please check with your personnel department or have them call Susan Pfau at 505-515-1246 to include Samjivani Foundation in their program.

Monetary donations may also be made in the form of a personal or corporate check and made out to Samjivani Foundation, DBA Medical Relief for India. Our mailing address is:

Naming Opportunities

As we critically need your help and the help of other supporters and donors for the construction of a new hospital, several Naming Rights Programs are  offered by SOS Memorial Trust for donors who are able to consider a large donation. Naming rights for rooms and wards start at $25,000 and may be from a single donor, family or group of friends.

Contact Susan (Radhe) for further information regarding Naming rights or to make a contribution under either Naming Opportunities Programs at 505-515-1246.

Volunteer

Medical Relief for India serves as a liaison between free medical programs in India and interested volunteers from the U.S. Dr. K. S. Charak and his team welcome doctors, nurses, paramedical personnel, operation room technicians and volunteers to join their efforts. Each year volunteers from all over the world travel to India to serve as a volunteer, donating their time and/or medical skills to support the such programs. If you would like to volunteer in such endeavors, please contact Radhe at 505-515-1246. A brief description of your background (e.g. doctor, nurse, general volunteer, etc.) would be most appreciated. Below are just a few of our volunteers.
